Ruling 42. With regard to well water that gushes from the ground – even if its quantity is less than kurr – in the event that an impurity comes into contact with it, it is pure as long as its colour, smell, or taste does not change.
Ruling 43. If an impurity falls into a well and changes the water’s smell, colour, or taste, in the event that the change in the water disappears, it becomes pure. However, based on obligatory precaution, the water becoming pure is conditional on it mixing with the water that gushes from the well.
