English translation of the statement from H. E. Ayatullah Seestani (long may he live) on the latest massacre by Israeli forces in Qana.

In The Name of Allah, The Compassionate, The Merciful

As part of their continuous aggression on Lebanon, today Israeli enemy forces perpetrated a new massacre in Qana leaving tens of innocent victims [dead] in the most tragic and horrid scenes.

Words fail to condemn this horrible crime, which was perpetrated by those who have been detached from all humane values and principles - such that even women and children in shelters are not safe from them.

The scale of the tragedy in Lebanon, due to the ongoing Israeli aggression, has reached a limit exhausting further patience. It is no longer possible to remain a bystander in this matter. The international community must take the initiative to impose an immediate ceasefire and limit this appalling tragedy. The Islamic world and peace loving nations will never forgive those who stand in the way of attaining this, which will in turn have grave consequences for the whole region.
