The Representative of the leading Marja’iyah in Europe says:
The leading Marja’iyah’s aid is not restricted to Hawzas, students, religious centers and institutions, but goes beyond that to assist both the needy and the destitute all over Iraq - away from nationalism and sectarianism and here’s a brief:
In the Name of Allah the Compassionate Most Merciful
Among the tasks undertaken by the leading Marja’iyah, in addition to the religious responsibilities and the Hawzas, is meeting the dire needs of the society in many ways such as:
Supporting the poor in all the provinces of the country, through Wakils and trusted representatives and meeting their basic needs as well as helping young people who need to get married...etc.
Contributing to the cost of surgical operations inside and outside of Iraq as well as medical treatment required by patients. A special section was opened for the wounded fighters battling Daesh to treat them in Iraq and outside, bearing the full cost of their treatment as well as contributing to their many needs.
Assisting and supporting families of martyrs, orphans and widows, through Al-Ayn Social Care Foundation. Sometime ago the leading Marja’iyah established committees consisting of trusted representatives to visit the families of martyrs to comfort them and attend to their needs.
Helping displaced people in various provinces since 2005 and to date as follows:
1- Provided financial assistance to the families that were forced to leave their homes as a result of sectarian acts in 2005-2007, whether renting homes for them or providing direct financial support.
2- Provided large sums of money for the people of Tal-Afar and Hamdania when they were attacked by Daesh and supplied them with food and drink rations, as well as the appropriate means of transportation to safe areas.
3- And then provided them with monthly payments in order to ensure their stability in the new environment.
4- And finally constructed a Peace Park for them, situated at the beginning of the road from Najaf to Karbala, containing three hundred housing units and a generator to provide electrical power as well as a water filtering system and several shops. Each housing unit consists of a lounge and two rooms, kitchen and bathroom and was allocated to the displaced many months ago to alleviate their suffering. These three hundred units are the first phase of a much larger housing project for the displaced. The land allocated by the leading Marja’iyah for this project is big enough for a thousand housing units.
5- Providing food assistance and supplies of essential provisions such as blankets and heaters for people displaced by the fighting in Syria.
6- Assisting those displaced in combat zones in Iraq, through special committees in charge of visiting them and providing them with basic supplies, as well as clothing, blankets in order to alleviate their suffering.
Praise be to Allah who has blessed this nation with the Noble Prophet (may Allah bless him and his family) and the immaculate Imams (a.s.) and their deputies who sacrificed everything to serve the orphans of Al-Muhammad all over the world.
