The representative of the leading Marja’iyah in Europe Allamah Sayyid Murtadha Al-Kashmiri celebrated the anniversary of the birth of the three brilliant stars of the Ahlul-Bayt (a.s.) and led Friday prayers in Sweden and Denmark

During his tour of Sweden and Denmark, from 21 to 25 May 2015, the representative of the leading Marja’iyah in Europe Allamah Sayyid Murtadha Al-Kashmiri celebrated the anniversary of the birth of the three brilliant stars of the Ahlul-Bayt (a.s.) and led Friday prayers.

1-Thursday evening 21 May 2015 at 8 pm: He inaugurated the new building of the Hussainiyah of the ‘Masters of Paradise’ (Sayyid-ai Shabab Ahlul-Janna) in the Swedish capital, Stockholm. He praised this Islamic project and said it complements the remaining Islamic establishments in the country. He said all the staff are responsible for the Hussainiyah and not just the scholars and Mubaligheen. Adding that the religious Marja’iyah in Najaf always affirms on its visitors to continue to educate the children and pay attention to the Arabic language and all Islamic cultural and educational activities in order to preserve their Islamic identity. He highlighted the work involved in these Islamic centers and establishments and to keep strong and continuous ties between their members to enhance the spirit of love and affection between them. He said he is working hard to hold a conference for all the centers in Scandinavian countries to come together; and that this project has been inaugurated to be a landmark for the dissemination of the Ahlul-Bayt (a.s.) thought in the region.

2-On Friday 22 May 2015: He led Friday prayers at the Imam Ali (a.s.) Centre in Stockholm and congratulated the Muslim world on the anniversary of the birth of the master of martyrs Imam Hussain (a.s.) underlining the following:

• Making use of the spiritual mood of the month of Sha’ban to purify the self and educate it on a good and honourable character.

• Hussain (a.s.) enjoys three attributes never before bestowed upon any prophet or prophet’s guardian - except him (a.s.).

• Praised the efforts of the mass mobilization in Iraq, the security and the zealous tribes and their efforts to liberate Anbar from the evil of terrorism.

• Stressed upon all those in authority in Iraq, from different factions and views, to support these efforts to rid the country from Takfir and terrorism. He said if it were not for the fatwa of the leading Marja’iyah and the efforts of the mass mobilization the situation would have turned in favour of the enemies. Those in authority should appreciate this important fact.



3-Allamah Kashmiri: Met with the respected scholar Shaykh Hakeem Ilahi, the executive supervisor for the Imam Ali (a.s.) Mosque in Stockholm, and discussed the affairs of the Iraqi community in Sweden as well as the security challenges facing Iraq and Islamic countries. He then visited the different sections of the Mosque and saw the work being done there, particularly the section where Holy Qur’an contests are held when a large number of participant from European countries attend.



4-He also visited the Al-Zahra (a.s.) Hussainiyah in the town of Västerås and met with members of the staff there. They discussed the activities of the Hussainiyah and the constraints they face in their work as well as some differences. Based on this Allamah Kashmiri stressed upon fraternal relationships with Al- Hawra Zainab (a.s.) Center. He said from now on members of Al-Zahra (a.s.) Hussainiyah should called their place the “Hussainiyah of Al-Zahra (a.s.) and Al- Hawra Zainab (a.s.)” and members of Al-Hawra Center should call their place “Al-Hawra (a.s.) and Al-Zahra (a.s.) Center” so as to unite their efforts in commemorating the occasions of Ahlul-Bayt (a.s.) and pay attention to cultivating themselves spiritually and morally and preserve the identity of their children and educate them according to the school of Ahlul-Bayt (a.s.)

He then spoke about the status of Al-Hawra Zainab (a.s.) because her birthday was on the beginning of Sha’ban, according to some researchers – mentioning the courageous Islamic stands she took to support the uprising of her brother Imam Hussain (a.s.) as well as combating injustice and the unjust rulers - as in the courts of Obaid-illah ibn Ziyad in Kufa and Yazid ibn Muawiyah in Damascus.



5- He visited the Arabic and Islamic school of Al-Zahra (a.s.) Hussainiyah in the Swedish town of Eskilstuna and met with staff members and saw the curriculum and listened to the teachers. Afterwards he visited all the classes and tested some students on their recitation of the Holy Qur’an and knowledge of Hadith and the Arabic language. After mid-day prayers the Allamah met with some students and acknowledged the efforts of the teachers and thanked them for their work. He also thanked the students for their commitment to school regulations. He was pleased with the questions they were asking which indicated the level of their intelligence and their colloquialism in Arabic, in spite of them learning only Swedish in their schools.



6-On Saturday 23 May 2015 at 8 pm: Allamah Kashmiri sponsored a delightful celebration on the occasion of the birth of the Imams (a.s.) organized by the Islamic community in the Swedish town of Örebro – on the premises of Ahlul-Bayt (a.s.) Center. He appealed to all concerned Iraqis to preserve the unity of Iraq and its territorial integrity. He condemned the copying of western appearances by some young people and call upon them to gain knowledge and insight; which are the true accessories of a gentleman. He also stressed upon clinging to the path of the general representative during the occultation era.

7-On Sunday night 24 May 2015 at 7 pm: The Al-Ghadir school in the Danish capital Copenhagen convened a delightful celebration for the parents of its students on the occasion of the anniversary of the birth of the brilliant stars of Ahlul-Bayt (a.s.) (Al-Hussain & Al-Sajjad & Al-Abbas) peace be upon them all – where the Allamah gave a lecture on the occasion.

He emphasized upon building the character of the students of the community in Copenhagen so they may be a useful example for themselves and a nice flower for Danish society, through their knowledge and manners. This is because the most important feature of knowledge is to construct the life of a human being educationally and morally through learning in such an exemplary school.

He highlighted to the parents to take more care of their children to persevere with their studies and lectures they receive from their qualified teachers – some of whom have more than twenty years teaching experience. He also said the new management in the school cares about the students’ welfare more than before.

Hoping this factor may be an encouragement to fill the remaining empty places.
