The Marja’iyah’s Representative inaugurates the Imam Ali (a.s.) Center in Rochester – Kent

On the occasion of the week of the awaited Imam Al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance) Sayyid Murtadha Al-Kashmir inaugurated the Imam Ali (a.s.) Center for Afghans living in the town of Rochester in the United Kingdom. The ceremony was attended by a large number of community members as well as the town’s Mayor, the local police chief, members of the town’s Council and other distinguished guests. In a brief speech Sayyid Al-Kashmiri highlighted the need for these Centers to educate our children with good moral habits and safeguard their religious and cultural identities and not to allow it to plunge and fade in western culture and for our women to maintain their hijab and honour; as their role model is, their Lady and the Lady of all women, Fatimah-tul-Zahra (peace be upon her) and they should not be influenced by their environment. He also stressed the need for everyone to pray for Muslims everywhere especially in Iraq so they may triumph against the extremists and terrorists.

Sayyid Al-Kahsmiri, who was accompanied by a number of scholars from London, congratulated the gathering on establishing this blessed center and prayed for their success in both worlds.
