Meeting Scholars, Mubaligheen and Imams of the United Kingdom, the representative of the leading Marja’iyah in Europe said:
* If it were not for our brave troops the tragedy of the destruction of the shrine of the two Askari Imams (a.s.) would have been repeated.
* The campaign of the enemies of Ahlul-Bayt (a.s.) has not been limited to physical liquidation only but has surpassed it to include the intellectual one.
* The responsibility of Scholars, Mubaligheen and parents in the west is to safeguard the cultural identity of the people of the community.
* We need to spread the culture of affection and love among Muslims, even with those who offend us or differ with us in opinion.

He was speaking in his annual meeting with scholars and Mubaligheen in the Imam Ali (a.s.) Foundation and on the occasion of the birth of the awaited Imam Al- Mahdi (a.s.) and the advent of the holy month of Ramadhan.

In this meeting, Samahat Hujjatul-Islam wal-Muslimeen Sheikh Ali Alemi, Imam-e-Juma and head of Islamic Universal Association highlighted the importance of Tabligh and it being a continuation of the message of the prophets (a.s.) and the role and responsibilities of the Mubaligh in foreign lands, especially these days when the devious and the depraved are on the increase. Samahat Hujjatul-Islam wal-Muslimeen Sheikh Zafar Abbas, the former president of Majlis-e-Ullema Shia addressed the gathering and based his talk on authentic narrations from the Imams of Ahlul-Bayt (a.s.).

After welcoming everyone and thanking them for attending the meeting, Allama Sayyid Murtadha Al-Kashmiri conveyed the greetings and prayers of His Eminence (long may he live) with his request to pray for the relief of distress of Momineen everywhere, especially in troubled areas. He also congratulated the gathering on the month of Sha’ban and the anniversary of the births of the immaculate Imams (a.s.) and the birth of the awaited Imam Al-Mahdi (a.j.) and the advent of the blessed holy month of Ramadhan. The Allama then focused on some important points:

1- Allah, with the blessings of the month of Shaban and the birth of the immaculate Imams (a.s.) of the pure and chaste household, our brave and valiant Iraqi troops countered the plots of the enemies decisively. They [the enemies] had reached 2km from the Holy Shrine but: ((And (the unbelievers) plotted and planned, and Allah too planned, and the best of planners is Allah)) Holy Qur’an 3:54. He added that the enemies’ campaign these days is not limited against the holy shrines and physical elimination of the followers of the Ahlul-Bayt (a.s.) school of thought but has unfortunately spread, by the pen and the tongue, against thoughts and belief of those followers.

2- He also stressed upon the responsibility of scholars, Mubaligheen and parents to urge Momineen to link with the Imam Al-Mahdi (a.j.), through prayer and praying for him , giving charity on his behalf and reciting his Ziyarate. Because such things strengthen the relationship with him (a.j) and makes us live in a perpetual state of anticipation for his reappearance. Through this, the Momin will always feel under the eyes of the Imam (a.s.). Perhaps the following verse of the holy Qur’an conveys this meaning: ((And say: "Work (righteousness): Soon will Allah observe your work, and His Messenger, and the Believers...)) Holy Qur’an 9:105.

We should therefore encourage our children on this trend and explain these things to them because it strengthens their belief in the Imam (a.j.). He called on the scholars and Mubaligheen to request parents to pay attention to their children’s upbringing, through centers and mosques, to safeguard their cultural and religious identity so it does not plunge and wither in western culture and deviate from the straight path. This is what the Marja’iyah emphasizes upon us and upon the visiting delegations from foreign countries – because of the large number of advocates of falsehood and their dissemination of devious and depraved thoughts; these days when falsehood is confused with justice; their distorting the refined image of Islam with its roots stemming from the immaculate household (a.s.) and their falsification of the truth and reality. For this the Imams (a.s.) pointed out : “Take the initiative with your children before the Murji’ah [beat you to them].

3) Finally, the Allama stressed upon the relationship between the segments of society on the basis of belief and faith in Allah and the Prophet and his household (a.s.), and to talk with others, even if they differ from us in opinion and thought. Difference of opinion does not spoil friendliness. We need to cultivate a culture of love among Muslims, not upset and provoke them, because the enemies of Islam want to sow discord between us fomenting sectarian, religious and national strife which is what the terrorists and extremists are doing by attacking schools and killing innocent students and practicing all forms of injustices and cruelty to distort the reputation of Islam and Muslims. These criminals feel by such actions they are undermining the greatness of Islam, but they do not know that Allah promised to protect His religion from the plots of the plotters and the injustices of the unjust.
