The Marja’iyah’s Representative Allamah Sayyid Murtaza Kashmiri’s visit to France

On invitation from organizations and centres in France, the representative of Ayatullah Al-Udhma Sayyid Seestani (long may he live) visited Paris from 30 May – 2 June 2013

He began his visit on Thursday 30th May in Mehfil-e-Zainab (a.s.). In his speech he highlighted the role of this great lady, Seyyeda Zainab Al-Kubra (a.s), her jihad and support for her brother Imam Al- Hussain (a.s.) in his rebellion against oppression and injustice.

He conveyed the Marj’a’s Salams and Dua’s to the congregation and the latter’s request to offer Dua’s for the victory of Islam and Muslims, particularly these days when the enemies are sowing the seeds of discord and deceit among Muslims. He concluded the evening by responding to questions and leading Maghrib and Isha Jamaat prayers.

2- The second meeting was in the Khoja Centre in Bagneux – a southern suburb of Paris.
There, Allamah Kahsmiri led Friday prayers and spoke to the congregation about the spiritual importance of the three months of Rajab, Sha’ban and Ramadhan. He emphasised on how the believer should take advantage of time in this month of Rajab to perform the recommended A’mal to purify body and soul; such as reading the Qur’an, Salat, Dua, helping the poor and destitute.
He invited Momineen to unite and reject discord and disunity by propagating the culture of love among Muslims, thus denying the enemy the opportunity.

3- The third meeting was in the Wali Asr (a.j.) Centre of the Afghani brothers.

Here, Allamah Kashmiri emphasised on paying attention to the upbringing of children, basing his discourse on the following verse form the holy Qur’an: O ye who believe! Save yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is Men and Stones..

He reminded the congregation that they will be held accountable on the day of judgment in case of any negligence in the upbringing of their children and their going astray from the right path – citing examples, Hadith and narrations from the Imams of Ahlul-Bayt (a.s.).

4- The fourth meeting was with scholars and Hawza students at the Imam Al-Khoei Centre. He stressed upon educating Momineen through useful topics, appropriate to their level, with references from the holy Qur’an and narrations from the Imams of Ahlul-Bayt (a.s.) and to avoid insulting comments against Muslim personalities so as not to instigate intolerance against the followers of Ahlul-Bayt (a.s.) – because this is what the enemies are planning for. And if Muslims fight with each other then the enemies will have achieved their objective. He also emphasized that scholars and Hawza students should be a good role model for others - through their behaviour, good manners and trustworthiness so as to enlighten the Ummah to the right path.

5- The fifth meeting, also in the Imam Al-Khoei Centre, was with Muslims from different nationalities: Arab, Indian, Pakistani, Afghani and French. Allamah Kashmiri began his discourse with the following verse form the Holy Qur’an: They recognise the favour of Allah yet they deny it..

He spoke about the favours of Allah and their different types and most importantly the favour of allegiance to Ahlul-Bayt (a.s.) which one will be held accountable for on the day of judgement, as in the following verse form the holy Qur’an:
And stop them, for they shall be questioned - elaborating with verses from the holy Qur’an and narrations from Muslim references. He pointed to the favour of security and stability enjoyed by Momineen in France, in stark contrast to what we see in some other countries such as Iraq where the people are deprived of the most basic needs such as electricity, in addition to political disagreements leading to daily killings of tens of innocent men, women and children. At the end of his speech he thanked the security forces for the precautions they have taken to ensure the safety of the pilgrims to the holy shrines in Kadhimain. He then answered questions and led Jamaat Maghrib and Isha prayers.
