Statement issued by the Office of His Eminence Ayatollah Sistani (long may he live) in Najaf Al-Ashraf expressing gratitude and appreciation to those who offered condolences and sympathies on the demise of his spouse.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

We extend our profound gratitude and sincere appreciation to all those who expressed their noble sentiments and sincere condolences to His Eminence, the Leading Religious Authority (long may he live) and his family in their great affliction, particularly those who undertook the hardship of participating in the funeral procession or attending the mourning ceremony, from within Iraq - from various governorates - and from abroad, and those who sent messages of condolence and sympathy or published statements to this effect in written and audio-visual media.
We express our deep gratitude to Their Eminences, the Grand Maraji’, distinguished scholars, dear students in the seminaries and academic centres - within Iraq and abroad - to noble tribal leaders, respected dignitaries, official entities - in their various capacities - religious and popular figures, and all beloved countrymen and others for their sympathies and overflow of their love.
We pray to Allah Almighty to protect everyone from all harm and calamity, and not to show them any distress in their dear ones. May The Almighty include the late esteemed lady with His vast mercy and grace and gather her with her ancestors, Muhammad and his pure and noble family.
