Liaison office of Grand Ayatullah Sayyid Ali Al Sistani (L.M.H.L) in London, Europe, North and South America.

The representative of the leading Marja’iya in Europe meets with the heads of Islamic centres in Sweden and urges them to pay attention to educating the sons and daughters of the Islamic communities and preserve their ideological, religious and social identity.
He also emphasises upon them to be in a position of the divine responsibility entrusted to them to guide people, and not to be deceived by the schemes of those who want to sow discord and disagreement among Muslims and rip apart its unique body which Islam has united them with their hearts in harmony.

Accepting the kind invitation of the Islamic Academy in Malmo - Sweden, Smahat Al- Sayyid Al-Kashmiri met with the President of the Academy, Shaykh Salah Al-Din Barakat, Vice President Shaykh Taj Al-Din Farfour, H. E. the Bosnian Shaykh Al-Jazaeri (Chairman of the Council of Imams in Sweden and Imam of the Bosnian community), and Shaykh Baber (Head of Minhaj Al-Quran Foundation in Malmo).

Samahat al-Sayyid thanked the Academy for their participation in the Conference of Preachers and Mubaligheen that was held at the Imam Al-Muntadhar Foundation. He also thanked them for their invitation and the opportunity to meet with the Imams of Islamic centres from this town and from other Swedish cities.

Samahat Al-Sayyid also spoke about the unity of Muslims, which is the most important point that Muslims should work on, especially the Imams of mosques and centres. This can only be achieved through fraternal meetings and the exchange of opinions and views that lead to the unity of Muslims - especially since the Book is one, the Sunnah is one, the Prophet is one and the Qiblah is one. There’s no real difference in most of the fundamentals of religion and its branches, except for a few - such as the disagreement between the opinion of one of the Imams regarding a fatwa issued before and a fatwa issued later. And we have seen this in the fatwas of Imam al-Shafi’i, who gives one fatwa one day and a different one later.

This does not invite us to distance ourselves from each other. What is happening these days about talk of differences between Muslims emanates from plots by the enemies who want to sow discord, division and disagreement among Muslims in order to achieve their political goals and objectives.

He also emphasized that the Imams of the centres should pay attention to educating the sons and daughters of Islamic communities and preserve their ideological, religious and social identity, starting with adherence to the mother tongue and the language of the Noble Qur’an and the honourable Sunnah of the Prophet (s.a.w.w.), in order to preserve their religion and belief, because it is the only link that links them to their Islam and religion. He also emphasized upon memorizing the Qur’an and its frequent and continuous recitation, especially for young people – calling upon those present to be in the position of divine responsibility entrusted to them to guide people.

He also indicated to the attendees to be enlightened through comprehending the Qur’an and the hadiths of the Imams of the Ahl Al-Bayt (a.s.), who are the path of the Qur’an, with the explicit commandment of the Prophet (s.a.w.w.) who said: “I entrust you with the Book of Allah and my progeny, my Ahlul-Bayt”, for they are the two safeguards for Muslims from error and deviation. He also emphasized on the continuity of dialogue between scholars themselves to dissolve various factitious differences that exist here and there - denouncing the advocates of division on both sides and that Islam is a religion of love and tolerance, forbidding disagreement and strife as in the word of the Almighty: ((And hold fast all together by the rope of Allah and be not divided among yourselves)) Holy Qur’an 3:103, and in another verse: (( ..and fall into no disputes, lest ye lose your heart and your power depart)) Holy Qur’an 8:46

He also appreciated the efforts and good interaction of this meeting.

((And say work, soon Allah will observe your work and His Messenger and the Believers..)) Holy Qur’an 9:105
